How to convert an image to another format

- For JPG, WebP, and AVIF, set the quality. 90% looks the same as the original for most photos and makes a much smaller file.

Questions
Which format should I pick?
JPG works everywhere and is best for photos. PNG keeps transparency and is best for screenshots, logos, and graphics with sharp edges. WebP and AVIF make much smaller files and work in all modern browsers. ICO is for website favicons and Windows icons, and TIFF is for printing and archiving.
Can I convert iPhone HEIC photos?
Yes. Add HEIC or HEIF photos like any other image and convert them to JPG, PNG, or any other format. There is also a dedicated HEIC to JPG page.
What happens to transparent areas?
JPG and BMP do not support transparency, so transparent areas become white. PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, ICO, and TIFF keep them transparent.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Your browser converts the images on your device, so they never leave your computer or phone.
Is photo location data kept?
No. Converting redraws the image, so camera details and GPS location stored in the original file are not copied to the new one.
